Next loosen steering at firewall junction. Remove 10mm bolts holding brake hose to firewall under the battery. Everything loose should have adequate stretch, but check as install progresses.
Lift the body with floor jacks, one side at a time, remove bottom rubber bushing and washer from cross member mounts. Leave upper rubber bushing in place on frame, install blocks between body and this bushing. You will have to remove the inner steel bushing sleeve. Repeat to other side. It may be necessary to trim blocks for rearward most position. Install body stud connectors. Align new bolts to there location before tightening anything, this will make the process much easier. Align body to frame as needed. Reuse the stock rear rubber grommet on 2 new metric bolts. Install 2 new metric bolts in front using washer and lock washer provided. Tighten all bolts to factory specs using loc-tight, check all wires and lines for clearance. Tighten steering. It is possible to drill new holes for the brake line, but we have yet to have found a need for this.
Removal of the rear bumper will help installation.

Suzuki Sidekick body lift instructions
Parts included, 10 body blocks, 2 bolts, 6 studs, 2 lock/flat washers.
Sidekick body lifts are available in both 1 &2 inch versions instructions are identical. Do to vehicle options some variations will exist check all gas lines engine wires brake lines etc. This kit is intended for early 2 and 4 door vehicles w/o rack and pinion steering.
Sidekicks have 10 mount positions 2 are bolts under the headlights 6 are studs under the front fender/door at the rear most door area and at the rear hatch there are two positions that require the blocks to be glued in or held is a similar fashion these blocks act a support for the body and are not firmly secured these are located between the 2nd and 3rd body mount from the front of the vehicle. We recommend using black rtv silicone to secure these blocks.
First step is remove stock fasteners , side by side is recommended placing blocks on one side before lifting the other. Steering should by checked through out the lift it may be necessary to loosen the steering shaft at the firewall and steering box junction rear gas hose will need to be repositioned on the tank.

Remove nuts from body studs. Remove bolts under head lights. Lift vehicle high enough to insert body blocks, check for wires being tight, loosen if needed. Insert blocks, using stud connectors with large washer to secure one side at a time. Front bolts will require trimming of the extra tall bushing. Trim aprx 1" off. Check first for bolt fit, some vehicles all ready have a short bushing. Once all bolts and studs are installed, check for shifter clearance, modify boots as needed. Square body to frame, tighten all mounts. Tighten steering link and gas tank hose.
Body lift need to be checked for tightness every once in a while. Plan every couple oil changes to double check. In fact, go over the entire vehicle is not a bad idea!
